Overview
Presented at the 2024 CREATE Showcase, Subterranean Soundscapes is my undergraduate thesis for completion of my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Toronto Metropolitan University.
Focused around three primary goals:
- Collect and analyze audio from select TTC stations in order to conduct research on the sonic properties of the spaces.
- Investigate issues relating to sound from transit systems on the environment surrounding them. (E.g. Noise pollution, vibration impacts, etc.)
- Present the final results as an interactive exhibit allowing participants to immerse themselves in the sonic palette of their favourite stations.
